Life Expenctancy vs. Per Capita Healthcare Expenditures (1999 – 2020)

We spend a lot on healthcare in the U.S., but does it lead to longer lives?

Unfortunately not. As you can see from this graph, the U.S. spends more on healthcare than any other country, and yet our life expectancy is the lowest among wealthy nations and lower even than some developing countries.
